Items And Power-Ups In Mario
If you haven't heard of Mario or Sonic then your on the wrong page, my friend (as some would say) but really, if you are a newbie that's ok because you have come to the RIGHT page! I'll tell you about the characters and stuff in Mario!! IF YOU DO NOW MARIO, THEN THIS DOSEN'T ENVOVLE YOU.. but you can still learn some things well your on here ;) So anyway, some of you, right now, sitting on your couch (or chair), on the computer.. might have played Mario or Sonic before but might not know what Items or Power-ups are, well my good friend, keep reading and you can then show off to your friends about your knowledge of Mario (but also tell them to check out my blog as well, thanks :) )!
ITEMS:
1-Up Mushroom = Gives you an extra life.
Life Mushroom = A mushroom that gives Mario's health meter an additional three sections, bringing the total to six.
Bob-omb Dispenser = A machine that consistently dispensers Bob-ombs for use by the player.
Coins = Restore lost wedges of Mario's Health Meter. If 50 coins are collected, Mario will earn an extra life.
Crate = Often found in many different galaxies, these can be broken to release items.
Green Shell = A green Koopa Shell that Mario can grab by touching or spinning near it. The player can throw it at enemies by shaking the Wii Remote. It gives a small speed under water.
Item Crystal = These are basically crystals containing objects/a power-up that can be found in multiple areas of the levels in two games.There is many more, but I can not write them all BUT if you want to know all of them go to www.MarioWiki.com and you will find EVERYTHING you need to know about Mario's world!
POWER-UPS:
Super Mushroom = Makes small Mario or small Luigi grow into their normal size making them able to break bricks.
Fire Flower (Small :/) = Transforms Mario or Luigi into Fire Mario or Fire Luigi making them able to throw fireballs.
Star Man (Small /).(\) = Makes Mario or Luigi temporally invincible, but it lasts only a short time.
Super Leaf = Gives Mario or Luigi the ability to flight and a tail attack.(IM REALLY SORRY FOR THE SMALLNESS!! :'l)
Frog Suit = Allows Mario or Luigi to swim faster in any direction, and allows him to jump higher.
Tannoki Suit = Allows Mario or Luigi to fly, turn into invulnerable statue for brief periods, and a tail attack. 
Hammer Suit = Allows Mario or Luigi to throw hammers, which do more damage than fireballs.
P-Wing = Similar to Super Leaf , but allows Mario or Luigi to fly for the entire level. Taking damage or finishing the level ends the P-Wing.There is many more, but I can write them all BUT if you want to know all of them go to www.MarioWiki.com and you will find EVERYTHING you need to know about Mario's world!
Characters in Mario
There are, like, sooo many of them! But I choose these 20 because I really like them. But if you want more then what I have selected, go to www.MarioWiki.com and you will find a heap of characters.
CHARACTERS:
Amy Rose: Is a pink anthropomorphic sonic hedgehog, who has a huge crush on Sonic the Hedgehog. She also participates in the Olympic events in "Sonic and Mario in the Olympic games".
Blaze: Blaze is a princess from another dimension. At first, she did not know the meaning of friendship until Cream the Bunny showed her, by being on of her best friends. She would sometimes be paired up with Sonic the Hedgehog.
Cream The Rabbit: Cream the rabbit is a young, cream-coloured rabbit who is from Sonic the Hedgehog series. She has a chao called cheese, who goes everywhere with her except in Sonic Free Riders.
